Wendy's Sausage Gravy and Biscuits

 

   You will need:

      * 1 lb. CHUB of sausage (i recommend Bob Evans or Jimmy Dean)

      * 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

      * 2 cups milk

      * salt, black pepper, and cajun seasoning(optional) to taste

      * 8 prepared biscuits (You can use your favorite Pillsbury or make Bisquick biscuits by

        following the recipe on the Bisquick box.)

         * Makes 4 servings with 2 biscuits per person *

 

Crumble the sausage and brown it in a large skillet over medium heat.  Sprinkle in flour while stirring until dissolved.  Gradually stir in milk.  Let gravy cook until it is thick and kind of bubbly.  Season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning (optional) to taste.  Serve gravy over warm biscuits.  Don't forget to refrigerate the leftovers-though I never have any!  I like to double or triple the recipe and freeze or refrigerate for the week, since I am not home for breakfast time!
